About

He Māori Ahau

Delivered in June 2024, this conference aimed to:

  • Inspire: Tell-it-straight kaikōrero who speak directly to the kaupapa ignite the fire in our puku, inspiring us into collective action.

  • Connect: Strengthen kotahitanga by connecting with kaimahi Māori across all sectors. Together, we elevate our calibre as a takitini and amplify our impact.

  • Create Mahere: Through hands-on workshops, design mahere that identifies actions focused on supporting our collective success as Māori.

  • Whakakī Kete: Gain mātauranga and practical tools that empower kaimahi Māori in their roles to drive positive change.

  • Empower: Empower kaimahi Māori in their value and strengths as Māori working in and with the public service.

He Mahere

He Mahere v1.0 was created at He Māori Ahau in June 2024, capturing the vision and steps for our collective journey. Rauemi to help us craft the Mahere included the Hawaiki Mokopuna vision and Mahi ā Tira activity guidance.

We encourage you to download, share, wānanga, collaborate, and feedback. What are you going to do to launch your waka today towards hawaiki mokopuna?
